Lil' Pumpkin Baby Shower!
We had a GREAT time at a baby shower that my friend Nora and I hosted for a friend. Nora did a lot of the decor as well so I give her lots of credit! She's very good at hosting parties!
Below is our dessert table. We had a caramel apple bar! To the right is melted caramel and melted chocolate, then we had an assortment of toppings to dip it in. There are also pretzels drizzled with white chocolate (with orange food coloring) and a cheesball shaped into a pumpkin created by our friend Rashelle.
We also had water with sliced oranges, lemons, and limes. It was delicious!

DIY: Burp Cloths
These are a few burp cloths I made for a friend's upcoming baby shower!
They are SUPER EASY.
1. Buy cloth diapers. I got 5 for $4.99. If anyone knows how to get any cheaper please let me know!
2. JoAnn's is having a sale on their fat quarters, so the darker green fabric was $0.99. The light green I had left over from a previous project.
3. Come up with a design that suits you! My designs include: A. 1 panel right down the middle, B. two smaller squares on the middle edges and C. 2 stripes down the middle.

Cute Birth Announcement! LDS inspired
I think this is adorable! I found inspiration online and decided to create my own!
I'll create one for you if you would like! For $5 I'll create the image at an 8x10 size for printing and then you can print it where ever you are used to printing your photos!
Email me at bchcphoto@gmail.com to get your "I am a Child of God" Birth announcement! I work through paypal for payments so as soon as I've created your announcement you'll see a request from me in your email!

Pumpkin Cupcakes
Here's what I did:
1 box of yellow cake (plus all the ingredients to make the cake)
1 15oz can of pumpkin
some pumpkin spice
a little cinamon
a little nutmeg
To me it still tasted too much like the yellow cake. The frosting was a cream cheese frosting as well.
What will I do differently next time? Probably start from scratch and make a butter cream frosting.

A year in the making!
Well, it wouldn't have taken me a year if I could finish everything I start the day I start it! The nursing cover took me less than two hours so there's progress!

Anyway, these are so adorable. They do take a long time to accomplish so I either recommend doing it in stages or having someone else watch your kids!
They are really simple to make. You'll need a round ball. I used a foam ball typically used with floral arrangements. You'll also need a glue gun and crepe paper. You can do it any color that you want, white is always a nice accent color.
You cut strips of paper about 16 inches in length, crumple up the paper and then straighten it back out. Then you roll it into a flower! Once you get your flower looking pretty you cut the ends to make it easier to glue onto the ball.
Midway through the project I thought that I should have painted the ball white as well or gotten a white ball to begin with. I think the green one was cheaper!

Moroccan Leather Poufs
I was recently reading my Better Homes and Gardens magazine and in it (in two places actually which makes me think twice about how set up their articles really are) were these really neat looking Moroccan Poufs. I found them online and would really love to get one! So here's to hoping!
